This is the story of Henry Rawlinson, soldier, sportsman, explorer and linguist. Only he had the skills to decipher the cuneiform inscriptions on a sheer rock face in Iran, eventually unlocking the secrets of the Old Testament through his work on some unearthed clay tablets in Baghdad.
