Selected Writings of Andres Bello

Andrs Bello (1781-1865) was one of the most prolific and influential intellectuals in 19th century Latin America. His long life spanned the late colonial period, the independence movement, and the early republican period to which he made numerous contributions as senator, jurist, diplomat, and educator. This volume will include a selection of Bello's most important writings in the areas of language and literature, politics, education, and history.
