Border Crossings

Bok av Henry A Giroux
The past few years have seen a growing concern among workers in a variety of disciplines with the whole notion of pedagogy and with its place in the construction of knowledge, subjectivities and social relations. This interest has, in turn, affected the way in which workers within education see the subject. In this collection of essays, Henry Giroux tries to reconceptualize academic discourse and academic boundaries to accommodate the many changes that are now taking place in higher education. The essays are organized around the theme of education's relationship to other disciplines and political projects, including feminism, postmodernism and race and ethnicity.
