In Two Volumes (Volume I) was written by Tyrone Power in 1836. The author describes his journey by ship from Europe and his time in America in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, Washington, Albany and Buffalo. He also talks about seeing the Hudson River, Erie Canal and Niagara Falls. He speaks of the beauty of the land and the people he meets. His journal is an excellent look at the time just before the Civil War.
