Secret Trials And Executions : Military Tribunals and the Threat to Democracy

Among the measures adopted in fall 2001 was the creation of military tribunals to try noncitizens suspected of terrorism. These tribunals are conducted in secret, have no jury, and include no presumption of innocence. This book discusses the historical use of tribunals and the implications of trying civilians this way.
