The Death of a Century

It's 1922, and reporters Joe Henry and Wynton Gresham are both veterans of French battles in WWIthe war that was supposed to end all wars. When Henry decides to pay Gresham a visit in Greenwich, Connecticut, he finds his friend dead, and soon becomes the prime suspect in his murder. Unanswered questions pile up: a manuscript Gresham had just completed has gone missing, three Frenchmen lay dead in a car accident less than a mile from Gresham's home, and a trunk full of Gresham's clothes lay neatly packed in his bedroom. And then Henry discovers a ticket in Gresham's desk drawerone-way passage to France aboard a steamer ship leaving the next day. Escaping the town sheriff's interrogations, Henry steals away to Paris under Gresham's name. But in the City of Light, he's a hunted man.
