Long, long time ago, trees walked the earth. This is the story of how they came to stay in one place. Told in both English and Swahili, When Trees Walked promotes environmental awareness through mythic storytelling and engages readers with dynamic illustrations set in Tanzania. It was written by Nishant Tharani. Poet and artist Nadir Tharani illustrated the story, while the author Demere Kitunga provided the ki-Swahili translation.
