Feminist stages : interviews with women in contemporary British theatre

This work draws together the voices of some 50 women working in the theatres of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. It seeks to ask and discuss questions such as: "What is feminism?"; "Does gender matter in the theatre?"; "Is there a female or feminist way of working in the theatre?"; and "Are things changing for women in the theatre today?". Other topics discussed and debated include race, class, sexuality and regional identity.
