Listen Up!

Youngsters are continually bombarded with so much visual stimulus that their auditory functioning is often underdeveloped, causing them to filter out a lot of the information given to them verbally in the classroom. "Listen Up 1" and "Listen Up 2" contain activities, with photocopiable sheets for pupils and scripts for teachers, to encourage pupils to think about what they hear. Packaged with a free audio CD, these books provide opportunities for developing concentration, improving memory skills and engaging in logical thinking. "Listen Up 2" contains additional material on citizenship and PSHE issues.
