Gmelin handbook of inorganic and organometallic chemistry

Bok av Leopold Gmelin
The supplementary volume C1 starts with a description of the phosphorus compounds. It covers the mononuclear, binary phosphorous-hydrogen compounds, namely PH through PH5, as well as the series of ionic species featuring the same stoichiometry. It offers detailed coverage of the most important compound in this context, the PH3, which is of scientific interest as the ammonia analogue of phosphorus. It exhibits, however, a quite different chemical behaviour and substantially different physical properties.
