Myosins

Bok av James Sellers
Myosins are a diverse superfamily of molecular motors that are capable of either translocating actin filaments or of translocating vesicles or other cargo on fixed actin filaments. There are currently 15 distinct classes (based on sequence homology) in the superfamily. Since the publication of the first edition in 1995, a large amount of information has been published, including the linking of mutations in myosin to three human diseases. This new edition has been thoroughly updated to include all this new information.
