The Jewish Faith

The Jewish Faith introduces children to some key Jewish beliefs and practices, by welcoming them into the home of a young Jewish family from the Reform movement within Judaism. It explores what happens at Hanukkah, how the family celebrate Shabbat and what is a mezuzah. It also looks at the stories behind festivals such as the Passover and the foods that are eaten at these special times. Start-Up Religion is a series of first RE books for pupils at Key Stage One, developed specifically to support units in the RE Schemes of Work.
