"Thurmond: Permanently Sealed" is a collection of short stories and cartoons. Thurmond sees himself in black and white, while the rest of his world is in glorious Technicolor. He loves to reminisce, and his absurd stories about his friends, relatives and life experiences are spiced with wild exaggerations - usually with abrupt conundrum endings. Lathan says the stories were greatly influenced by the humor and characters he knew in Nashville. His friend Thurmond is witty, folksy and not just a little irreverent.
