Early Byzantine Vaulted Construction in Churches of the Western Coastal Plains and River Valleys of Asia Minor

This study focuses on a group of ruined Byzantine churches of the 5th to 7th centuries from the west coast of Asia Minor. It forms a detailed constructional analysis and aims in particular to reconstruct the form and construction of the vaulting, providing a new typology of vault structures for the region.
