gmp architects are masters of stadium construction. Their arenas host top-class sporting events-whether in South Africa, Germany, Brazil, China, or India. The architects planned and built two new stadia in Warsaw and Kiev for the European Football Championship in Poland and the Ukraine in June 2012, in an established partnership with the engineering firm Sschlaich Bergermann und Partner. Alongside their new stadium in Bucharest, these are examples of state-of-the -art sports venue construction. This lavishly illustrated book tells the stories behind the three cities and their stadia and presents the architecture of the new arenas, which have provided the Eastern European Football Associations with venues that meet the highest international standards.
