Client Decides: : A Litigator's Life : Jackie Onassis, Vice President Spriro Agnew, Donald Trump, Roy Cohn, and more

Bok av Martin London
A trial lawyer's memoir describing cases of national importance, as well as others. I represented Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in a precedent shattering First Amendment case in connection with Jackie's battles with a photographer, and represented her son John Kennedy Jr. as well. I describe a record-breaking jury trial libel award against CBS and Walter Jacobsen, and my representation of Vice President Spiro Agnew in a criminal prosecution, as well as a representation of Hubert Humphrey in his battle for the Democratic nomination in 1968. The memoir also describes my work in pro bono cases in which we successfully disbarred Roy Cohn, unseated unfit judges, and prevented the continued threats against physicians who supplied gynecological services to women, including legal and safe abortions. I also report on my involvement in Broadway show disputes involving My Fair Lady, a copyright issue involving Jerry Herman's hit show, Milk and Honey, and diverse other legal matters that were interesting and humorous. Finally, I report on some personal adventures on my tour of duty in the U.S Army, and unsuspecting help I received from author Mario Puzo in the process.
