Mechanisms of Cortical Development

This is the first book which attempts to bring together what is known about the fundamental mechanisms that underlie the development of the cortex in mammals. In contrast to other texts of developmental biology, Mechanisms of Cortical Development integrates cellular development and structural morphology with events at the biochemical and genetic level. In addition, the authors derive several theoretical models for the action of different cell types.
