Virginia Woolf and the Literature of the English Renaissance

A study of the influence of 16th and 17th century literature on the work of Virginia Woolf. Using letters, diaries, reading-notes, drafts of essays and novels, each Woolf novel is shown to have some integral elements of Renaissance literature in its language, characterization and structure.
