Combinatorial Designs and Tournaments

Bok av Ian Anderson
This book has two aims: first, to present some of the basic material on block designs and orthogonal Latin squares, emphasizing in particular methods of constructing cyclic examples by means of difference systems; and, secondly, to give an account of the construction of league tables, tournaments with various balance requirements, bridge tournaments (via balanced Room squares) and whist tournaments. It is clear, readable, and up to date. This new book is a considerably revised and expanded version of Combinatorial designs: construction methods published by Ellis Horwood in 1990 and out of print for several years. It is not a second edition.
