Solid State Phenomena : As Seen by Muons, Protons, and Excited Nuclei

Bok av Erik B. Karlsson
Detailed properties of solid materials can be studied by measuring electric and magnetic fields acting on nuclei or particles introduced as local probes into the samples. The data so obtained can often give new and otherwise unobtainable information on the systems studied. This book provides the basis of observational methods, together with a well-chosen set of examples from the subfields of magnetism, superconductivity, semiconductors, metal/hydrogen systems, etc.
