On 'Astronomia' : An Arabic Critical Edition and English Translation of Epistle 3

This volume presents the first critical edition and translation of Epistle 3 of the Brethren of Purity. 'On Astronomia' uses examples from astronomy and astrology to provide spiritual, moral, and soteriological guidance, and argues that the study of Astronomia helps the soul achieve ultimate happiness.
