The Sociological Worldview

This book presents a perspective on sociological thought in the early 1990s. Stressing the global changes in society, this book argues that sociological thinking can be applied to areas of everyday life that may not appear to be fundamentally social - the self, love, religion, mathematics, science, and the world order. Through a series of analyses of these subjects, and others, the author tries to demonstrate the value of the sociological perspective as a revolutionary development in the history of human inquiry.
