ABC Modern Signalling Handbook

Since the publication of the last edition of this popular illustrated pocket guide, there have been significant changes to the railway signalling infrastructure in use in Britain which is reflected in the new edition. The book contains new material on the planned changes in traffic management, the development of signalling control centres dependent on modular signalling, the new signalling for Thameslink, and new forms of level crossing protection with obstacle detection, as well as more detail on ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System), all part of a process to eventually replace the traditional signalling on Britain's railway network.
