A Record of the Revolutionary Soldiers Buried in Lake County, Ohio, with a Partial List of Those in Geauga County and a Membership Roll of New Conne

Bok av Mary E T Wyman
Lake County lies on the shore of Lake Erie, immediately east of Cleveland. In 1899 the New Connecticut Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, appointed a committee to locate the burial places of the Revolutionary soldiers of Lake County, and to prepare a brief personal and military history of each. A thorough inspection of all burying-grounds, both private and public, was undertaken; local histories and town, county and church records were carefully studied; newspaper files running back three-quarters of a century were closely scanned, and in all cases the history of those whose age assured the possibility of their having been participants in our great war of independence, was untiringly sought out and brought to proof. This collection of biographical sketches is arranged alphabetically. Typical information includes date and place of birth and death, military service, rank, burial place, names of spouse and children, wherever known.
