The Reuniting of America : Eleven Multicultural Dialogues

Multiculturalism raises the issue of what characterizes our unity as Americans. Specific issues are treated in dialogues: immigration policy; affirmative action; redistricting; IQ and race; feminism; hate/abuse speech; the handicapped; logos and symbols; whether English should be our official language; and multicultural education. These dialogues present the best arguments of the different sides and reveal how these sides might argue back and forth. A positive approach (reuniting America) rather than a negative approach (disuniting America), is followed.
