Operator Algebras, Quantization, and Noncommutative Geometry: A Centennial Celebration Honoring John von Neumann and Marshall H. Stone

In honour of the 100th anniversary of the births of two 20th-century mathematicians, a mathematical celebration was organized in January 2003, highlighting developments in fields where both men were major influences. Papers range from expository and historical surveys to original research articles. All articles are refereed.
