THE CONFLUENCE is the story of Kate Bradley who is haunted by the loss of her father in a wild British Columbia river and takes up residence in a remote part of France; of Alain Auberjean, a concert violinist who believes his father was a Resistance hero executed by the Nazis; and of the elderly and mysterious Madeleine Serault who fought with the Maquis during World War Two and now tries to protect a troubling secret in a small French village.
