In 1861, Henry Hind led a two-month long canoe expedition of the Moisie River, Quebecs longest river, from Sept-Iles to the Ashuanipi River in Labrador. Hind also writes about the fisheries and seal hunts of Newfoundland, Labrador, and Quebec.
