Wyoming Territory had granted the right to vote to women, the first in the nation to do so. Not only could women now vote, they could, therefore, hold elective office. For Pinkerton Range detective Levi Hill, the assignment was simple: protect the life of a woman while she was running for Justice of the Peace and also for Town Marshal.Though the assignment seemed simple, it would prove to be a dangerous one. Many ruthless characters were determined to halt the wheels of history. The depth of opposition to the woman was so great that Levi's life was threatened from every side.Would Levi be man enough to fight his way out of trouble? Would he be able to singlehandedly safeguard the integrity of an election? What would he do when those seeking his life decided to rope a grizzly bear that now threatened their life?
