BrotherWhere are you my brother I lovedWhere are your beautiful feathers I woreWhere are you my dazzling brotherWhere was your wisdom and where is your zestWhere are you my brother and where are you headedYour life would go up and hatch into the skyBrother your life as a flame from a lion's heartWhere are you brother, where is my lifeWhere are you brother, where'd you take the dream, my innocenceIn my manhood, my man, a lion roar, where did you take meWith your disappearing years, with the mysteryCome back to me brother, love me as I loved theeWith the hope my love would save you love me backSo my love would be innocent once againBrother love meBrother come backLife, ohWish of life, end of lifeThe impossible end.I hear my children's cry and I remember yoursCry of death, cry of weakness to lifeHow can you possibly die at age eightYour life has been feathers which helped me to flyI hear my children cry, the crying of lifeAnd I ain't thrilled to be hearing them shoutYour shout echoing in Jerusalem's skiesThis Jerusalem which holiness didn't save
