Koans on the Road

Explore these Zen Koans as shared by the author from the seat of a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Those of you who ride a motorcycle know the joy and sense of peace that comes from the hum of the road and roar of the engine. Those sights and sounds provide the mantric backdrop for "Koans on the Road". A Koan is a Zen puzzle or riddle that allows the reader to contemplate the answer ...or non-answer. Interpreting a Koan will change depending on the place where the reader is upon their life's road. Just like "orange cones" on a literal road indicate places at which to be aware, Koans also alert the Zen traveler to awareness.
