Fieldwork at A Sports Club in Ankara, Turkey: International Soccer Matches and Importance of Women in A Soccer Team

On April 20, 2011, I conducted fieldwork at the Genclerbirligi Sports Club in Ankara (in Turkey) that was founded as a soccer club by a group of Turkish high school students in Ankara and their physical education teacher in 1923. I observed three soccer matches; however, two female American soccer players attracted my attention. In his study, I describe the details of the fieldwork I conducted, and suggest that women can be soccer players.
