Memoirs Illustrating the History of Jacobinism. A Translation from the French of the Abbe Barruel. Part III. --- Vol. III. the Antisocial Conspiracy. the London First Edition (1798).

Bok av Augustin Barruel
This is a classic reprint of the London first edition, of Augustin Barruel's, The Antisocial Conspiracy, the third volume of a massive four part work. This piece details the hierarchical structure of the Bavarian Illuminati, as well as some passages concerning its founder, Adam Weishaupt. Thomas Jefferson read the third part, and he also penned his views concerning Barruel's assessment, in a letter to Bishop James Madison (Jan. 31, 1800). This 1798 edition (translated from the French) also included the original appendix regarding the death of Voltaire.
