About the author: Liz Keeley-Browne is Director of Workforce Development : Learning and Skills at the Westminster Institute of Education, Oxford Brookes University. She is an associate inspector of Ofsted (Further Education Teacher Training Division) and has been very involved in working with organisations such as the Centre for Excellence in Leadership (CEL) in driving forward reforms in the sector.  Prior to working in Higher Education, she held the positions of Head of School in an FE college and  Deputy Head in a large comprehensive school.
