'The worst thing about being dead is that it's so disorienting." Starting in a purgatory waiting room, we follow a reluctant participant as he is given the task of reviewing his past lives. He begins a journey that takes him from ancient rain-soaked jungles to modern suburbia, a journey punctuated with visits from other lost souls awaiting the great doors to welcome them in. Through an assortment of languages and cultures he discovers a thread that unites them all. The Year of the Horse takes an irreverent and moving look at what happens when spiritual traditions collide.
