In the dead of winter, a doctor does the unthinkable. After committing the worst crime imaginable, he has to escape his sins. With the help of Sheriff Robert Strohl, Dr. Emmerick Stone Kelly, runs away to the small yet unknowingly deadly town of Susannah. Now with all of his past behind him, he tries to start a new life.
