God, Guns, and the Perfect Chicken-Fried Steak

Jake Donovan, a former Army sniper turned preacher, is in the middle of a crisis. As Donovan struggles with doubts about his religious calling, he receives shocking news about a man he killed during a covert operation in South America twenty years earlier. In the course of working through this revelation, he must also deal with radical Fundamentalist Christians, unhappy Republicans, a fringe Catholic Order, an angry fiance, a strange Buddhist girlfriend, and what may be the dead man's ghost. For Donovan, stepping out on the road of the seeker will prove more difficult than anything he has ever done. Because it's hard to understand God, harder to handle people with guns, and nearly impossible to find the perfect chicken-fried steak.
