Chago's Sunday Afternoon

"Chago's Sunday Afternoon" is the fi rst in a series of children's books by sculptor, Lenell Deane. Th e story is a warm and colorful recollection of Lenell's early days on her grandfather's ranch with her little brother, her friend Polly, the ranch hands and their families. Lenell is a sculptor by profession. But has always written stories, and kept journals. Capturing life in motion is what she enjoys most about her art and writing. Having spent most of her life in a ranch setting, these fi rst -hand experiences have provided an endless source of material for her sculptures and stories. "Ranch life gets in your blood, and regardless of how far you stray from the sounds and smells of country life, you're never really satisfi ed until you are back. I'm fortunate to live on a small place in the Texas Hill Country, which I share with four horses a small herd of cattle and one dog.
