The real power lies in unsuspected places...sinister...alien...Mervyn Wayne called at the offices of an apparently normal, respectable, old-established city firm and overheard intrigue of nightmare quality. He found himself a fugitive from an organisation whose ramifications extended everywhere.Society was being master-minded by someone, or something, so irresistibly powerful that Mervyn's first reaction was hopeless fear.
