The Spanish Maelstrom

The Ramirez-von Hohenlohe family now has two branches. One in Spain and another in Germany. It is a time for change in Europe as former monarchies are replaced by infant democracies. It is also the time of new political ideologies as Communism and Socialism expouse extreme left measures while Fascism and Nazism espouse those of the revolutionary right. Political warfare between the extreme left and right boils over into war in Spain. It is a test of strength and will power as a prelude to world war. In these times a family tries to carry on with their lives.
