Lindy's betrayal was the final straw... Chance Parker was a good man who had a lot of bad luck with the women in his life but the bad luck didn't stop there. His birth parents rejected him and his adoptive Mother abandoned him. His adoptive Father was very stern but Chance believed Papa, as he called him, loved him. After a disastrous marriage Chance seemed to be recovering but soon would find himself on the way to prison for breaking a Federal Banking Law he was unaware of but as a bank president should have known. It was in prison where he would come in contact with a man who would many years after Chance had put prison behind cause him so much grief. From this point on Chances life began a downward spiral from which he was not sure he could recover. When he could not find his faithful wife Lindy he was more than heart broken.
