I Am Yours, Always

Bok av Dana Gregory
Layna Ramsey has lived a very sheltered and somewhat lonely existence. Without friends and with parents who show little verbal or physical or verbal affection, she retreats into her interests of writing poetry and playing the piano. Having just graduated from high school, she is looking forward to college and hoping for a change in her life. She is surprised when her parents tell her they are moving to Minnesota. In Minnesota, Layna resigns herself to a life full of lonely moments. What she doesn't know is that fate is about to step in and change her life as she knows it, forever. Xavier Chambers is a gifted and aspiring musician. After experiencing the devastating loss of his parents at a young age, his sole focus has been music. Then he meets Layna and is struck by her beauty and innocence and feels drawn to her by an unexplained connection. Determined to succeed as a musician, he tells himself he has no time for distractions - especially a relationship. Layna feels a powerful connection to Xavier. It is a feeling unlike anything she has ever experienced and is unsure of how to deal with it. For now, she decides to keep her feelings to herself. However, fate will not be denied. Their connection and attraction is too strong to overcome and they spend a glorious summer together, discovering each other and a love so profound, which brings new meaning to their lives. So deeply in love, they plan to spend the rest of their lives together, knowing that nothing will ever come between them. Their love is tested when an unexpected turn of events forces Layna to make a heartbreaking decision that tears them apart and leaves them devastated. Unable to deal with the loss, Xavier leaves Minneapolis to focus on his music while Layna is left holding on to a painful secret. Four years later, Xavier returns home a superstar. He is surprised to learn that Layna is in town. After all these years, he has never stopped thinking about her. She had been the love of his life. For Layna, Xavier coming home has her asking a lot of questions. Would he want to see her after all these years? Could she hide the fact that she still loved him? When their paths cross suddenly, will they use the opportunity to find their way back to each other, or will the past prove to be too much to overcome?
