Neurons and Networks in the Spinal Cord, Volume 1198

Bok av Lea Ziskind-Conhaim, Joseph R. Fetcho, Shawn Hochman
This volumes examines the mechanisms that underlie the generationof sensory and motor activity in the functional and dysfunctionalspinal cord: a cutting-edge model system for both basic andtranslational neuroscience. At the basic neuroscience level, the volume explores thefunctional organization of neuronal networks responsible forprocessing sensory inputs and generating motor outputs and thegenes that control the assembly of these networks. At thetranslational neuroscience level, articles describe approaches tounderstand and therapeutically modify spinal network responses topain and injury. Articles cover a wide range of topics from genetic, synaptic, and cellular mechanisms underlying network development andfunctions to plasticity and regeneration following spinal cordinjury.
