A Dress for Grandma

Evanda Prophete grew up in Winter Garden, Florida. Her mother was a single mother of two daughters. Evanda spent many days and nights at her Grandparents, house. Her close relationship with her maternal Grandmother-Annette Pugh is the inspiration for this story. Evanda graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. She obtained a Masters of Education degree from Belhaven University. She has worked as a teacher since 2007. She has written two inspirational stage plays in addition to her first Children's story, "A Dress for Grandma." Evanda attributes her scholastic achievements and her life as a writer to God; her mother; her grandmother and to all of her family who encouraged her to "keep writing". She currently resides in Central Florida with her husband.
