25 Advent Devotions Celebrating the Story of Christ
Bok av Donette Alisa Krzyzopolski
The Advent wreath is the first Christmas decoration to come down from the closet shelf to sit prominently at the center of our dinner table. Celebrating Advent together has been a favorite family tradition and one that keeps Christ at the center of our hearts and minds during the hectic Christmas season.
Whether you are a family of two or twenty, with ages from one to ninety-nine, gathering around the Advent wreath can be instrumental in building richer relationships with the Lord and one another. Daily devotions include lighting the Advent candles, prayer, reciting Scripture, discussion questions, and a new fun fact about Christmas customs and traditions. We enjoy concluding by singing one or more of our favorite Christmas carols. A collection of classic Christmas carols is included at the back of the book.
Christmas blessings to you and yours.
My life has been full of enriching experiences. I've been a writer, photographer, computer repair technician, post master, Girl Scout leader, and a systems manager for a bridal gown manufacture. I've worked in a fabric store, on an F-16 fighter jet bomb analysis team, and as a summer day camp leader for children K-6. It's been a privilege to serve in Women's Ministries, bible study leadership, Vacation Bible School, and a mission to Mexico. However, the greatest privilege, and richest blessing, has been as wife and mother.
I've published articles with JEMS, Journal of Emergency Medical Services, Mothering, The Magazine of Natural Family Living, Grit: American Life and Traditions, Rug Hooking, Parents' Press, Traditional Quiltworks, Silver Wings, and The Tehachapi News. My photos have appeared in JEMS, Journal of Emergency Medical Services, Grit: American Life and Traditions, Rug Hooking, Traditional Quiltworks, and The Tehachapi News.
