Jenva's Moving Up

Jenva was a young black girl who was brought up in poverty, but she was always determined to rise above all the hardships that life threw her way. Jenva had a very large family and a lot of them lived in the same small, gray house that she lived in. Nothing about Jenva's life was simple-from the things she had heard about her mother's life when Jenva was a child, to the biological father who had deserted her and her mother-a father she didn't see until the age of eight. As a teenager, after meeting the love of her life, Alex, Jenva realized she was walking down the same paths her own mother had taken. As determined as Jenva was, would she be able to overcome the struggle and temptations that her mother never could?
