I Know My Disciples, But Who Are You?
Bok av Dr Renee A Lacour
I Know My Disciples, But Who Are You is an original, distinguished, and matchless contribution whose time has arrived!
Because God loved the world so much that He gave his only begotten son Jesus to die for our sins because of the teaching and saving of humanity which Christ began, and because it is by the power of the Holy Spirit working through consecrated men and women that souls are won and the gospel is made effective, the author very candidly, poetically, and poignantly introduces the ?trinity? through narrative and rolls out the red carpet of disciples in Jesus?s day and then poses the question to the readers: ?Who are you??
Pointing to and aiming at what today we too often either marginalize, miss, reject, neglect, deny, refuse, delay, and/or forget. The author, therefore, offers stimulating thought and revealing scripture passages for study, self-discovery, and serious reevaluation?principles, duties, commandments/or fruit that?s required in the daily discipleship and growth in the Christian life.
To name a few: faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God (read Heb. 11:6). Truth: they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (read Jn. 4:24). Steadfastness: be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord (read 1 Cor. 15:58). Study: study to show thyself approved a workman unto God that need not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth (read: 2 Tim. 2:15). Holy: be ye holy for I am holy (read 1 Pet. 1:16). Pray: pray without ceasing (read 1 Thess. 5:17). The great commandment: loving the Lord, loving thy neighbor (read Matt 22:37?40). Repenting: but that all should come to repentance (read 2 Pet. 3:9). Tithing: bring all the tithes into the storehouse (read: Malachi 3:10). Your body: present your body a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (read: Rom. 12:1). Fruit of the spirit, which is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control?against such, there is no law (read Gal. 5:22).
