Nicola Knox was brought up in country Victoria and her work has always been influenced by the landscapes of childhood, despite living since marrying in Sydney, that most urban of cities. She worked as a journalist and in public relations, with a bypass to writing advertising copy which, looking back, is probably an excellent day job for a poet. She has also been a community worker.
