The Gnarled Stick

To an onlooker it appeared to be just a gnarled old stick. That is until it vibrated when it neared an old manor or priory site, releasing centuries old vibes stored in the stones. To Henri Lefevre, an imaginative savant student in Paris, the Bayeaux Tapestry came alive. He believed he could achieve his dream to re-enact history, appreciating the help of the divine powers of the gnarled old stick that transcended centuries, an immortal stick that never died. When he and the divining stick found the site of Philberd's Manor where the Magna Carta was reputedly drafted Henri knew he could fulfil his dream. Living in a tiny room working by candle light night and day, drafting scripts letter by letter, the gnarled old stick by his side he produced a corrected copy of the Magna Carta.
