The Late Neolithic and Chalcolithic Periods in the Southern Levant : New data from the site of Teleilat Ghassul Jordan

A report on excavations at the Late Neolithic-Chalcolithic site of Teleilat Ghassul in Jordan by an Australian team in 1967-77 and 1994-97. The report outlines the history of research at the site before looking at the results of the excavations, the stratigraphy, environmental evidence and special emphasis is placed on the ceramics recovered. This data is placed within the context of other sites and discoveries in the region.
